Discover the new Rainbow-TAC

Nanofilm is pleased to announce the launch of Rainbow-TAC, our latest Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C) coating. With exceptionally high hardness, ultra-thin coating thickness and low friction coefficient, Rainbow-TAC was designed to surpass the limits of existing ta-C coatings in high-intensity machining operations.

Through Nanofilm’s patented Filtered Cathodic Arc Vacuum (FCVA) technology, Rainbow-TAC is coated with excellent adhesion atop cutting and machining tools, enabling them to last longer, function more efficiently and avoid sticking issues.

These make Rainbow-TAC a best-in-class option for the machining of non-ferrous materials such as:
